Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how wellsyncy LLC uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website and use the Service. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit, keep you signed in, understand how the product is used, and improve performance. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and web beacons; throughout this policy, all of these are referred to as "cookies".
2. Types of cookies we use
We group cookies into four categories:
- Strictly necessary — required to run the site (e.g., authentication, CSRF protection);
- Preferences — remember your choices (e.g., cookie banner dismissal, theme);
- Analytics — help us understand product usage in aggregate, never at the individual level;
- Marketing — only used on the public website, never inside the app, and only where you've consented.
3. Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| wellsyncy_session | Keeps you signed in | Necessary | Session |
| wellsyncy_csrf | Cross-site request protection | Necessary | Session |
| wellsyncy:cookies-ok | Remembers your cookie banner choice | Preferences | 1 year |
| _wsa_id | Aggregate product analytics | Analytics | 13 months |
| __stripe_mid / __stripe_sid | Fraud prevention & payments (Stripe) | Necessary | 1 year / 30 min |
4. Your choices
You can control cookies in several ways:
- In-app banner — accept or close the banner to set your preference for analytics cookies;
- Browser settings — most browsers allow you to block, delete, or restrict cookies;
- Account settings — once logged in, you can change analytics and marketing preferences in Settings → Privacy.
Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break authentication and some core features.
5. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When detected, we treat your visit as having opted out of non-essential cookies. Because most browsers do not transmit a reliable "Do Not Track" signal, we rely on our in-app and banner preferences for DNT-equivalent choices.
6. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when. Material changes will be announced via email or in-product notice where possible.
